Collaborations in OblivioWiki

A collaboration is an article that is brought forth for expansion, cleanup, and organization. The OblivioWiki community works together in improving the article through adding content, organizing, fixing language and grammar, applying our style and formatting, and other improvements. In addition, links within that article are also improved and expanded upon. Everyone is welcome in improving the article.

Sometimes collaborations involve relatively unknown articles in the realm of Tamriel and can be used to spotlight unique articles.

[edit] The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles

  • It has recently been released on the XBOX360 Marketplace and now being sold for PC and Playstation 3. Those with Shivering Isles should attempt to try and update the article and give more information concerning the new land. The entire article is a stub, and must be expanded into multiple subpages. As this is still new, it will stay a nomination recommended for another 2 to 6 months as more and more Oblivion players use this new expansion pack. Also needed are the prices in Microsoft Points and in USD as well as its minimum requirements. (Which includes disk space on the XBOX360.) Please add and pitch in your two pieces for this new Oblivion Expansion. --Dragon of the Imperial 01:11, 6 February 2007 (CST)
    • Support, as the first official Oblivion expansion the information on this section should be meted out as quickly as possible. EDIT:Just checked it out too... still has march release date. Getting a little ahead of ourselves aren't we? lol. \*\ Hellhound43 01:23, 6 February 2007 (CST)
    • Whoa...wait...it couldn't have been released. Every website has a March release date. I was at Best Buy and Wal-Mart yesterday and I did not see any Shivering Isles product. I have 360, but have yet to check on Live. --theSpectator talk 01:23, 6 February 2007 (CST)
      • I'm curious where you're getting the March release date. Elderscrolls.com and Wikipedia still just have a "Spring 2007" release date. I did a google search and was unable to come up with anything as specific as March. andy 15:03, 6 February 2007 (CST)
        • Gamespot shows a release date of March 26th. \*\ Hellhound43 15:32, 6 February 2007 (CST)
          • So I actually oppose this one for now. I'd rather like to finalize Knights of the Nine first (still needs cleanup/expansion in places), as well as Plant (since we've been talking about it at Talk:Alkanet Flower), before going on to Shivering Isles, even after it comes out.--theSpectator talk 22:16, 6 February 2007 (CST)

[edit] Ingredients

  • Plants and other ingredients (all) – If you have done any sort of alchemy in the game, you know it's vital to get the right ingredients. Ingredient lists (AFAIK) all plants and other ingredients, but the article for each plant is very brief. Going through all ingredient articles and listing a known location, as well as attaching a screenshot to all that lacks one, as well as other info, should be done. --Patito 02:59, 4 September 2006 (CDT)

[edit] Knights of the Nine

  • All the articles must be cleaned and more information must be added. Quest descriptions are inconclusive. We need more pictures and more detail concerning the Armor and Weapons, which are leveling. As many details concerning the history and the accuracy of all the information is needed. Work on this must be done as soon as possible. Dragon of the Imperial 16:08, 5 January 2007 (CST)

[edit] Caves

  • Cave – Every cave article needs a complete room listing, maps (as Lake Arrius Caverns), and other info such as enemies. --Patito 02:59, 4 September 2006 (CDT)

[edit] Past collaborations

[edit] Provinces

  • Tamriel – All provinces of Tamriel needs improving. Even Cyrodiil is bare. Wikipedia has extensive articles on all provinces which we can use as a source, and in-game books in Oblivion can definitely be very good sources as well. --Patito 02:59, 4 September 2006 (CDT)

[edit] Fighters Guild

  • Fighters Guild, especially its quests, needs some expansion, organization, and pictures, similar to the other major factions. --theSpectator talk 20:47, 6 September 2006 (CDT)
    • Support: I agree, the fighter's guild is missing alot of information. I'm planning on working on it soon anyway along with the ingredients article and my flora map. \*\ Hellhound43 12:54, 25 September 2006 (CDT)

[edit] Collaboration nominations

Nominate articles for collaborations here, with a brief explanation of the improvements the article needs. In the talk page of the article, place this collaboration nomination template: {{Collab-nom}}

[edit] List of Mages Guild members

  • Child pages of theList of Mages Guild members – taking into consideration that the mages guild is a featured article, and that all of the missing pages fall into this category. We need the pictures of all members and all articles! Alexanderpas T C 23:15, 26 September 2006 (CDT)

[edit] Cities

I think we should flesh out the various city articles. A good portion is done with the pics and maps, but it could also have general city description, a full count of population and merchants, information about the local government, a history of the city, and other notes. --theSpectator talk 21:42, 1 June 2007 (CDT)

I was looking at the city articles, and I wondered if each home needs its own article, or if they will be listed like Cheydinhal, or if it's dependent on the particular home, like Umbacano Manor. andy 20:59, 2 June 2007 (CDT)
No, houses don't need their own pages; they can just be listed. Exceptions would be if there is something significant about the house (e.g. Seridur's House in Imperial City is the home base of Order of the Virtuous Blood; or how Glarthir's House has some good loot). --theSpectator talk 00:26, 3 June 2007 (CDT)

Since I was bored today, I worked up something that might help encourage the city articles to get filled out more completely. It's a compound article template that provides a standard form for the city articles, and reminds editors what should be included in the article. Of course, it may just be a waste of time, who knows. :) Check out User:Kutulu/City to see what I'm talking about. Kutulu 17:54, 3 June 2007 (CDT)

[edit] Oblivion Roster

I believe we need an alphabetical roster of all the NPC's for quick reference. The Cole Train 20:42, 8 March 2007 (CST)

Oppose: That's what the Category:NPCs is for. \*\ Hellhound43 20:58, 8 March 2007 (CST)
