- Citizens of Skyrim, they are a tall and fair-haired people. Strong and hardy, Nords are famous for their resistance to cold. They are highly talented warriors.
The Nord are the citizens of Skyrim, and are a tall and fair-haired people, aggressive and fearless in war, and industrious and enterprising in trade and exploration. Skilled sailors, Nords can be found in seaports and settlements along all the coasts and rivers of Tamriel. Strong, stubborn, and hardy, Nords are famous for their resistance to cold, even magical frost. Violence is an accepted and comfortable aspect of Nord culture; Nords of all classes are skilled with a variety of weapon and armor styles, and they cheerfully face battle with an ecstatic ferocity that shocks and appalls their enemies. The Nord race is, most likely, based on the Nordic peoples (a.k.a. Vikings) of northern Europe.

[edit] Usage
Nords have great attributes, and skill bonuses for a pure fighter. However, those that don't want to alternate between magic and melee, or have to use their head for any kind of strategic fighting will want to choose this race. Nords are a great race for beginner players.
[edit] The Warrior
Use this birthsign and choose Strength and Endurance as your favorite attributes to start the game with tons of health, and fatigue.
[edit] The Lady
If you are concerned with the Nord's low Willpower but still want maximum health this is the way to go.
[edit] Woad
This once a day power goes a long way in helping to fight off bosses.
[edit] Drawbacks
Nords don't generally have a way to see in the dark. This can be fixed by adding Illusion as a skill or carrying a torch. Also Nords can find it difficult to recharge enchanted weapons. Woad is not nearly as useful as Adrenaline Rush, or Berserk for killing bosses.
[edit] Trivia
- Nord means North in German, French, Swedish, Italian and Norwegian.
